In May 2011 our Cluster welcomes five new members: Eyecoe, Immeractive, Limecraft and Nozon on the business side as well as Mediarte, the social fund for the audiovisual sector in Belgium. Here is some information about our newest additions:
Eyecone, set up in 2001, is a video and multimedia agent producing video content and internet broadcasting technologies for international enterprises, television chains and the public sector. With their long experience in news coverage and video productions, Eyecone is specialised in audiovisual communication solutions using a journalistic approach. Using the web as a broadcasting channel, Eyecone creates and launches multimedia and WebTV platforms, using their content management system Blastmedia Manager (CMS). From consultancy and video production to online distribution channels and WebTV, Eyecone offers solutions to create your content and bring it to your audience, strengthening the impact and broadcasting of your communication.
Immeractive, <http://www.immeractive.com/>, the Brussels-based spin-off of DS Improve is an IT services company specialised in graphic 2D and 3D technologies, with a special interest for the creation of innovating tools for the business world and the industrial sector. With several years of research and development experience in the domain of cutting edge real-time 3D technologies, Immeractive is developing its own real-time 3D visualisation technology adapted to the construction sector and patrimony promotion. Immeractive makes sure to bring the newest and most pertinent technologies to its client to let their projects shine. Their tight link to the graphic technologies research world makes it possible for them to always be on top of the game. Their services include the making of virtual scale models based on plans and on site visits, the production of interactive 3D simulations, the installation or lease of upscale visualisation systems, and the designing of websites to promote or sell real estate projects. From the model making to the conception of original algorithms and the support for advanced browsers, Immeractive covers the entire process allowing for interactive media with a high added value. Their consultants are also available to participate in technical feasibility studies or the development of custom made software making use of one or another 2D/3D graphic technology linked to one of the commonly marketed systems (PC/Mac, iPhone/iPad,...)
Set up in 2010, Limecraft is a spin-off of the VRT, IBBT and the University of Ghent. Its mission is to develop an integral solution which will be able to support tape-less, distributed and collaborative productions. Limecraft is looking for partners and technology suppliers with the same holistic vision and ready to offer their services within a larger ecosystem, in order to deliver an advanced and cost-effective production system.
Nozon is an animation and post-production studio specialised in digital sfx. Currently Nozon is most active on the advertisement market. Their work for international renowned customers, half of their turnover being made for foreign clients (BMW, Audi, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Danone, Coca-Cola, ING, CIC, KBC, Lancôme, Electrabel, Luminus, Iberdola...) Nozon pays particular attention to the artistic qualities of their creations. This focus is the reason the company is now considered as one of the major players in the advertising domain in Europe. With this success in mind, Nozon now ventures onto the fiction market and has created a new operational office within the Pôle Image de Liège to pursue this goal.

Mediarte.be is a neutral and central partner for the enterprises in the audiovisual sector and for their employees. Their goal is to support and stimulate all initiatives in the sector in terms of training courses and employment. They also concentrate on job seekers (gathering of job offers in the sector on our website), freelancers, students (orientation of study choices or internships), professors, schools (cooperation between schools) and training operators; they aim for the different actors to be informed, enter into contact with each other and participate with their help for the development and the renewal of skills in the sector.
