Launched by Eyecone in a record time of three weeks, the Council of the European Union’s first ever thematic multimedia platform on free movement and migration has got off the ground.

With migration and free movement firmly under the media spotlight in May 2011, the EU Council press service entrusted Eyecone to produce a brand new multimedia platform entirely dedicated to these issues.

The first of a new series of thematic sites, it is an online information and resource centre, providing clear, timely and objective information and bringing together the news of the day on migration and free movement as well as background, photos, video and press material. It also includes links and information for other European institutions.

Fully on schedule, the new platform went live in time for the June meeting of Justice and Home Affairs Ministers and ahead of EU leaders’ summit meeting June 23-24 from when it will be replaced by the next hot issue.
