FLYING-CAM today released SARAH, a revolutionary Unmanned Aerial System for collecting precision 3-D intelligence.
SARAH is an electric VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) MUAS (Miniature Unmanned Aerial System) featuring 25 Kg / 55 Lbs take off weight and 30 minutes flight time with a 5 Kg / 11 Lbs payload.
Incorporating efficient aerodynamics, innovative flight modes and modular interchangeable payloads all in a portable unit that is quickly deployable, the SARAH system provides unprecedented precision 3-D intelligence for the benefit of all users.
The Flying-Cam SARAH is the first VTOL MUAV providing high precision positioning and navigation. With a heading accuracy of 0,5° and a DGPS with 2,5 cm precision, it offers new possibilities for geo-tracking, from civil security to distant firepower adjustment.
The Spanish Aerospace Research Centre FADA-CATEC has taken delivery of its first SARAH systems from the new FLYING-CAM Aerial Robotics division. They will be used for air traffic management and general aviation research, technology & development projects in partnership with BOEING, EADS and AIRBUS MILITARY.
FLYING-CAM ignited the close range aerial filming concept in the 1970s and has been leading the way with its Award-winning Flying-Cam I and II Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the motion picture industry. Today, FLYING-CAM continues to guide the innovation with the Flying-Cam III SARAH.
Continuing FLYING-CAM’s dedication to designing and creating state-of-the-art products, each SARAH System is the result of smart and deep thinking, applying the KISS and JEEP concepts: Keep It Simple Stupid and Just Enough Essential Parts.
